New to the smart watch game and to Garmin. I have an iPhone 11 and was considering an AW series 5 but have decided on a Garmin Fenix 6 series instead. The Garmin fits the criteria for buying a smart watch, mainly for sports and fitness but also for the incredible battery life. Now here’s the hard bit, 6 Pro Sapphire or 6X Pro Sapphire Garmin added a bunch of features to the 6 through software over the years and honestly, Id consider the 6 pro as a "base trim" Fenix, with the 7 series models as the higher trim packages. 6 pro gives you 90% of the features from Garmin including maps and music. It even has HRV status etc.
The device is dustproof and water-resistant. Water-resistant devices can resist the penetration of water, such as powerful water jets, but not being submerged into water. sweat resistance. Garmin Fenix 6. Garmin Vivoactive 4. Resistance to sweat makes it ideal for use while doing sports.
It has an exercise diary, allowing you to easily keep track of your previous workouts. Ad-free. Garmin Fenix 6 ( Garmin Connect Mobile) Suunto 9 Peak ( Suunto App) Adverts can be distracting and obtrusive. Apps and blogs without ads are more aesthetically pleasing, nicer to use, and make the content stand out.
Hi all. I’d love some feedback and reviews on the use of the Fenix 6X Pro for swimming pool training. I’m an experienced swimmer, used to being in a club, but currently swimming on my own. Would like to input my workout routine into the watch and use it to track time and laps. The data like heart rate, ccs and SWOLF would be interesting to
If you freedive a lot then the Descent G1 is the only choice - unless you want to use a separate device for freediving. Descent G1 for battery life (solar charging) and GPS accuracy. Would say that G1 is your better options, unless you want to consider a MK2 (for maps etc)?
Its Fenix 6 Pro Solar is up to $250 more than the standard Fenix 6. Solar charging makes more sense in a Garmin watch than any smartwatch, and almost any other fitness tracker. 9iplZ.
