The solution (keep in the charger while doing resets) is to reset the watch 8 to 10 times and keep holding the power button and shutting it off about another 10 times. This is unusual however my battery went from 1%, 4%, 16% and the flashing red light stopped and went to 100% charge in 2 1/2 hrs.
